Quality plays a pivotal role in supplier selection, management and assessment: PCMG is creating a brand new Supplier Quality Management Discussion Group as part of the organisation’s commitment to best clinical outsourcing practice.

The Group will provide a forum for Pharmaceutical Quality professionals from different companies to share practical ways of working when engaging with suppliers in the R&D environment.
Best practices, issues, feedbacks from inspections/audits will be presented and discussed, to build on the body of common and shared knowledge.
The entire supplier management process will be reviewed, from selection to closure, with focus on quality topics, linking them with procurement and legal specific aspects.

Major discussion items include:

  • Assessment process for GxP and Non-GxP suppliers
  • intended use of Data generated during the engagement
  • risk assessment
  • quality/compliance contractual clauses
  • suppliers oversight throughout the engagement
  • engagement closure including archive management

The first meeting of the PCMG Supplier Quality Management Discussion Group will occur on November 20th (9AM-11AM UK Time) and will deep dive on the supplier selection process.
